Meet Benson Jacob, a dedicated beekeeper from Itigi, Singida region who has been honing his craft since 2005. Benson is a proud member of the beekeeping groups supported by Swahili Honey in collaboration with partners like USAID. He has been working with Swahili Honey for 3 years.

Originally, Benson was one of many local beekeepers providing honey to the company. Swahili Honey recognized his potential and invited him to join their specialized beekeeping training through their advanced apiaries.

Before his partnership with Swahili Honey, Benson relied on traditional beekeeping techniques and saw limited honey yields. Thanks to the comprehensive training and resources provided by Swahili Honey, he has dramatically increased his honey production and improved his overall efficiency.

"Before teaming up with Swahili Honey, I struggled with low yields using outdated methods. In just 3 years of their training, my honey production has soared, and the old intermediaries who reduced my profits are no longer a problem," Benson shared.

With the increased income, Benson has expanded his apiary, acquired additional beekeeping equipment, constructed 2 new homes, covered his children’s educational expenses, and ventured into growing other crops like maize and avocado. He is enthusiastic about future plans to explore tree crop cultivation.
