Meet Rebecca Ablan, a skilled beekeeper from Ikungu in the Singida region, who has been practicing beekeeping since 2008. Rebecca is an active participant in Swahili Honey’s beekeeping network, working closely with the organization for the past 4 years.

Initially, Rebecca was among many local beekeepers supplying honey to Swahili Honey. Recognizing his dedication, Swahili Honey invited her to benefit from their advanced beekeeping training and resources.

Prior to collaborating with Swahili Honey, Rebecca’s yields were modest and he struggled with traditional beekeeping methods. However, through the training and support from Swahili Honey, he has significantly increased his honey production and efficiency.

"Before joining forces with Swahili Honey, my honey yields were low due to outdated practices. In just 2 years with their guidance, I’ve seen remarkable improvements and no longer face issues with middlemen," Rebecca explained

With his enhanced income, Rebecca has expanded his beekeeping operations, invested in new beekeeping equipment, built a modern home, and supports his family’s education. She is excited about the future and plans to explore additional agricultural ventures.
